This tour offers trekking onthe third highest mountain in Myanmar,Mt. Victoria (local name: Khonumtung which means ‘Guardian Angel of the Mountain’), which is enduring, timeless and true wilderness experience. Once you step off the road to start the trek, you are in true wilderness much of the time. Trek on the mountain offersthe opportunity to see rare birds, which are preserved and found only in Myanmar, both native and migratory birds, rare species of orchids, and many species of plants and butterflies.
Small villages that you come across are far removed from the chaos of city-life and surrounded by great mountain peaks which are unassuming but friendly and welcoming.
Moreover, you can get the experience of planting trees (cherry or pine) and enjoy lunch (local foods) and picnic on the top of the mountain (with the weather permits).
It also offers a day tour to Bagan, capital of the first Myanmar Empire; one of the richest archaeological sites in South-east Asia.
Optional tour includes a morning visit to Thaye-khittra (Srikshetra), the ancient Pyu capital about five miles from Pyay (Prome).
